Far Eastern Resources Development Ltd (FERD) was established by FENC in 2003 to takeover lands over 672.7 m2 from FENC, with total value over $50 billion NTD. The projects currently undergoing are: Telecom Park (Tpark) in Banchiao area, hyper shopping mall at Wuku area and resort center at Ilan. Total investment will reach $6.8 billion NTD and the potential interest in the developed lands will reach $20 billion NTD.

The mission of FERD not only to activate the existing land resources, but also developing new land resources. For existing lands that is good for long term operation and with high market values, activation will take place. For those lands with high market values, but with short term investing profit, sell to profit will be the measures taken to increase cash revenue and to gain the best operationg profit under the most dynamic market.

Tpark is the first privately designed and developed telecommunication scientific park in Taiwan. Far Eastern Group uses its two companies, i.e. Far EasTone, mobile operator and Sparq, board-band operator, to set up a IOT platform and make a breakthrough of various hurdles in the telecommunications development　Moreover, the proposed IOT platform allows both domestic and international telecommunications companies to engage in and enhance their R&D.

Tpark owns a superior geographical location to other scientific parks in Taiwan. The park is located in an intersection of Taiwan High-speed Railway, Taiwan Railway and Fast Transit System in Panchiao. It only takes about 40 minutes to the Taoyuan International Airport and owns a large human resources database of 6 million populations in the Taipei Metropolitan Area.
