FENC partners National Geographic to promote awareness of plastic pollution issues

Far Eastern New Century Corp. (FENC®, stock symbol: 1402), a global leader in textile & packaging material sustainability, sponsored National Geographic Earth Day Run on 28 April 2019 with performance running shirts made from 100% FENC® TopGreen® Recycled Filament.

Every year, over 8Million Metric tons of plastic waste material that pollute our environment end up washing into oceans – plastics intrinsically don’t decompose and when irresponsibly disposed of it stay around for decades. Marine life could ingest this garbage and eventually it ends up on our dinner plate.

At FENC, we believe in sustainable development to balance our economic, environmental and social needs, leaving mother earth in better condition for all future generations.

Culmination of over three decades of innovation and expertise to divert PET waste from polluting our environment via recycling has matured FENC® TopGreen® into a world class leading solution that is indistinguishable from virgin petroleum grade.

FENC® TopGreen® sustainable solutions are used extensively from numerous world cup football jerseys and footwear, national team uniforms for Olympics, food grade containers, the latest in luxury high fashion and even to peak performance materials for automotive tires and industrial applications.

For the National Geographic Earth Day Run T-shirts were all made exclusively of 100% FENCÒ TopGreenÒ Recycled Filament[1], which utilize Post-Consumer waste bottles and recycled into high performance yarns. Which saved 6000 kg of CO2 from polluting the atmosphere, and prevented nearly 150,000 bottles from polluting our environment. That’s not all, the shirt has superior moisture wicking performance and excellent breathability making it ideal for both active and leisure applications.

Plastic is not the problem, it’s what we do with it.
