7.Cause of occurrence:During the Vietnam anti-China
riot, some protestors intruded the factory of Far
Eastern Apparel (Vietnam) Ltd (hereafter referred
to as FEAV), one of FENC’s subsidiaries. The office
facilities and part of the production lines have been
damaged and some of the finished goods have been stolen.
FEAV has temporarily shut down its production lines and
the restart date of its production lines will be
closely monitored and decided accordingly. The related
losses are being assessed. The expatriate staff
currently located in Vietnam is safe.FENC’s combined
revenue of petrochemical-polyester-textile production
businesses reached NT$ 137.4 billion in 2013, of which
6% are accounted for apparel business. FEAV represents
10% of the revenue of apparel business or less than 1%
of the total revenue of petrochemical-polyester-textile
production businesses. As a result, the incident of FEAV
has no significant impact on the operations of FENC.
